Rave of the week - Caramel Espresso Frappucino

I no longer have to pay for the extra shots of espresso in my caramel frappucino - now there's a caramel espresso frappucino. It's basically a caramel frappucino, only with a shot added. I love it, and I've never had one made bad before - go Starbucks! You've got me fully addicted.

Rant of the week - Unprofessional Businesses

I've had the unfortunate experiences of dealing with several unprofessional business owners.

The most recent one called my boyfriend's phone and said that we ordered food from his restaurant and they were trying to deliver it. My boyfriend sat there and told him that we didn't order anything, we weren't even at home at the time. The man began yelling at my boyfriend, saying he was the owner and he knew what he was talking about. He hung up on my boyfriend.

I called him back, my boyfriend was driving, and I wanted to get things sorted out, and make sure this guy wasn't trying to deliver food to my house (I later found he was actually located about 45 miles away from my house and wouldn't have had my address anyhow). He hung up on me after calling me plenty of dirty names, and then called back 10 minutes later to yell at my boyfriend again.

My boyfriend asked for the manager, only to have the an on the phone say he was the owner and could do whatever he wants. I had to call my dad and tell him to make sure that nothing got delivered, and not to pay for it, whatever it was. Fortunately he hadn't had anybody at the door, and he called the place and finally told them to back off.

Apparently I'm not the only one who's had problems with the restaurant.

"We had a burger delayed ten orders. And, when the burger was (finally) ready, the manager simply let it sit on the counter, even though he assured me several times that he'd "bring it out when it's ready". After this was pointed out to him, the manager suggested we leave."

"The food here is always great, but the last time i called, you might want to reconsider eating at this place. After ordering some food over the phone, i asked for my total and the Manager says "no. I'm going to cancel your order." and he hangs up. Later on, i call back and ask him why he hung up and all he can say is that he is the manager and he can do whatever he wants. I have other friends call and see if they can order and he hangs up on them as well. His excuse for his rudeness was because he's the "manager."

I recently did a post about my career goals as far as writing, but basically, I want to write novels and screenplays. Right now my goals are more educational-geared.

Not really. Going up to Fresno in June. Not really what I call a vacation though.

Do you want to know why tailgaters piss me off?

1. To me, it symbolizes that you don't like the speed I'm going and want me to move faster. It doesn't work. There's a reason why I'm going this speed.

2. It shows disrespect for both my life and personal property. If I have to slam on my brakes for some reason, I don't want to be slammed into. Show some respect.

3. If there's another lane, you can go around me. If there's not, and you've been polite, I'll turn off and let you go around. There's just no reason to tailgate.

I would like to write for a living. I want to write fiction, but non-fiction would be fine too. All I know is, I want to write. I would also love to incorporate film into that. I want to be a screen-writer, but really, as long as I get to write, that's fine.

I also wouldn't mind having a business online. Maybe selling gift baskets or something like that.

Anyway... those are my career goals.

Situation # 1
You are walking down the street, And up ahead of you a large crowd has gathered. There are no laws or rules, or guild lines in this society. They are all stoning the person in the middle. What do you do when that person is a close friend of yours?

Well my first thought would be that if I jump in and try to save my friend, I am going to become the person getting stoned. I would have to just keep walking by, unfortunately. I know that I would not be able to help at all.

Situation # 2
You have hit a animal with your car, that is on the endangered list.Clearly the animal is dead. There was only 6 of these animals left in the world, now there are 5. The fine you know is steep. {$5,000}With also 1 year in jail. No if and or butts. Just 2 week's ago you read in the paper of a Catholic Nun that hit one and received that fine. What do you do?

I would probably find a way to move the animal to a more hidden spot, and just keep going.

Situation # 3If you had the power to make this world more perfect or better by doing 3 things, what would they be and why those choices?

Well I'm assuming that I am allowed to do anything, even though it doesn't seem plausible that these things could ever happen:

1. No more murder - That would alleviate many of my fears.
2. Men and women, adults and children are all on equal playing fields - Nobody is inferior.
3. I would learn to play the guitar perfectly and could serenade the masses with my new and beautiful singing voice.

Rave of the week - Starbucks by my house

There is a drive-thru Starbucks by my house that I have fallen in love with. Every time I drive up, I give my order and the employees are extremely polite. They know my face and voice by now, so they are very apt to offer me a free extra shot, or a discount something every now and then.

The drinks are perfect every time, and they are so fast!

I love you, drive-thru Starbucks on Saviors.

3/17 - Today was a day of sheer confusion and unknowingness - a day I'll probably remember as "the day the bitch wasn't here".

3/18 - Today was a gigantic relief - a day that I'll remember as "the day I received my checkout forms" - it's the end of one beginning, the beginning of a new life.

3/22 - I got to see my mom's side of the family, who I love very much.

3/23 - My neighbor's constant annoying Spanish music is driving me fucking crazy and I don't know how to stop it.

3/24 - I slept, watched some old home videos, and then the night was pretty much over, after much anticipation.

3/25 - Sick with some type of virus, I await the return of my prince and all that I love, and every time I walk by my sister I hear those ill words - "No cat, don't go into the hen house".

Rant of the week - Blockbuster

Some time back, before my wonderful relationship with Netflix, I had a membership with Blockbuster. Why did I break up with Blockbuster? Because they suck.

I rented Braveheart with my boyfriend a couple of months ago, and I returned it to the wrong Blockbuster, and I got a notice that I needed to pay for it. Yes, this was my mistake, but what followed was pure idiocy on their part.

I went in to Blockbuster with the intention of paying for the movie, but the woman at the counter told me I had to pay at the Blockbuster it was missing from. I drove across town to the other Blockbuster with the intention of paying the bill. I checked first to see if the movie was there, and then talked to the woman at the counter, who was being a total bitch. She said they usually send the movies to the right Blockbuster, but that doesn't always happen. She had a bad attitude, like I was bothering her at work or something, but I paid for the movie anyway.

She called the manager of the other store, and asked if they would look on the shelves and in the back for the movie, and after about 10 minutes, they said they were positive it was not in the store.

I went back to the other Blockbuster (the first one I went to) and walked to the action section of the store. There it was, right in front.

I took the movie to the counter, and the same guy from before told me I had to go back to the other store and get a refund for my money.

The woman at the other Blockbuster still had an attitude, and when I showed up she said "Oh, by the way, I found your movie for you. I called them back and they went and found it on the shelf for you." I told her that no, she did not find it, because I drove my ass back there myself and grabbed from the shelf with my own two hands.

I got my $13 back.
